If you’re looking for a quick and organized way to manage multiple remote desktop connections, RDCMan<\/strong><\/em> is a great tool to use. Follow the guide below to easily set up access to your VPS using this application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Make sure you have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • RDCMan<\/em> <\/strong>application downloaded and installed on your Windows PC. You can download it from Microsoft\u2019s official site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Received service activation email<\/em><\/strong> with your service connection details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    How to use RDCMan?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Create a New Group<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Open RDCMan<\/em><\/strong> application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Click File<\/strong> \u2192 New<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Choose a name for your connection group and save the .rdg<\/em><\/strong><\/code> file to your preferred location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      2. Add a New Server<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      In the left sidebar, right-click on the new group<\/strong> you just created and select Add server<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Configure Your Remote Desktop Settings<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      In the Server Settings<\/strong> tab, fill in the following fields:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Server name<\/strong> – your server IP address<\/strong> from the activation email;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Display name<\/strong> – any name you’d like (e.g., \u00abMy VPS\u00bb);<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        After that, go to the Logon Credentials<\/strong> tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Untick the Inherit from parent<\/em><\/strong> checkbox;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Enter Username <\/em><\/strong>from the service activation email;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Enter Password <\/em><\/strong>from the service activation email;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Please note: This is the part where spaces in the username or password field can be accidentally pasted. Make sure that you carefully select and copy your credentials from the activation email and no spaces are being copied.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Then go to Display Settings <\/em><\/strong>tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Untick the Inherit from parent<\/em><\/strong> checkbox;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Change Docked RD resizing <\/em><\/strong>value to Reconnect with new resolution<\/em><\/strong>; <\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Change Undocked RD resizing <\/em><\/strong>value to Reconnect with new resolution<\/em><\/strong>; <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            This will allow remote desktop interface to re-adjust automatically on window resizing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Lastly, click Add <\/em><\/strong>to save your remote connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            4. Connect to Your VPS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            Simply double-click<\/em><\/strong> on the added remote desktop in the left-side menu<\/em><\/strong> to access your service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            6. Disconnect When Done<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            If you wish to disconnect from your server, click Session<\/em><\/strong> and then Disconnect<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Undock remote desktop from main window<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            If you would undock the remote desktop window from the main application window, click Session<\/em><\/strong> and then select Undock<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
